Investment Approach
Our investment approach is simple and focused. We create long-term value for our business partners and our limited partners. As our individual and collective entrepreneurial experienced demonstrate, we do not believe is creating short-term gains that sacrifice long-term profitability. We structure our investments to create clear and simple synergies. Below is a summary of our investment criteria:
- We only invest in the 11 western states in the USA, namely Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
- We typically invest between $2 and $5 million. Equity investments requiring more than $5 million are typically syndicated with other private equity firms with similar investment and operational objectives.
- We prefer to invest in seasoned, profitable companies with specialty expertise and competitive advantages in manufacturing, distribution, business services, logistics and transportation.
- We prefer to work closely with current management and align our mutual interests.
- We do not provide turnaround capital.
- We do not invest in startups or technology intensive companies.
